Smartphone camera’s used to be a gimmick ! Today they not only compete with mainstream camera’s for a share of your pocket, but also deserve your attention. Today’s smartphones have put a high quality camera in every pocket, and coupled with the processing power built into most, they give you the power to edit, enhance and share your photos and videos in an instant. But how many of us are really able to harness all that capability to its fullest potential?
I, Anshum Mandore, have been a full-time, professional photographer for the last 9 years. When shooting professionally i shoot with expensive, professional grade equipment. But when on holiday, the bulk and weight of carrying my professional equipment always irked me. I wished for a camera that would allow me to make great holiday and personal photos, without having to carry my substantial camera bag. But the answer to my prayers came in a form i least expected. Modern day smartphones! Now, be it vacations or just daily-life photography, i usually choose to leave my DSLR and lenses home in favour of my smartphone (and possibly a power bank 😉 )
